AGGP2026 - Graduate Satellite AIT Electrical Engineer
Start date September 2026. Airbus Defence and Space seeks graduates to join the Global Graduate Programme as a Graduate Satellite AIT Electrical Engineer.
What You Will Be Doing
You will be on a development pathway to guide your growth into the role of Graduate Satellite AIT Electrical Engineer and will be involved in the following:
* You will be on a development pathway to prepare you to be a Satellite AIT Electrical Engineer. You will gain experience of all the spacecraft subsystems and will get a detailed overview of the Satellite Assembly Integration and Test department.
* Examples of the missions: Solar Orbiter and the ExoMars Rover; projects include secure space communications for the UK Government.
* The tasks will be varied and require you to use different skills (electrical measurements, scripting and debugging, anomaly investigation, documenting test results, preparing presentations, communication, etc.). Scripting is used along with Java and C based languages.
* As a Graduate, you will learn about spacecraft subsystem integration, functional and system testing, anomaly investigations, and initial test result analysis; environmental testing and supporting spacecraft interface checks at the launch site. There will be opportunities to develop both electrical engineering and software skills within Satellite Assembly Integration and Test (AIT). The organisation supports environmental test campaigns and spacecraft launches, involving overseas travel.
Your development pathway will include a minimum of one rotational placement to support growth into the position. Throughout the two year development programme you will develop into the position of Graduate Satellite AIT Electrical Engineer.
What We Are Looking For
To be a successful applicant to the Airbus Global Graduate Programme, you will need to demonstrate you have:
* A degree level or equivalent within a relevant field of study
* Recently graduated or first professional experience in Electronics, Electrical Systems, Avionics, Space or a similar Engineering degree
* Good knowledge of programming and scripting in languages such as C, Java, and bash scripting
* Strong verbal and written communication in English
* A desire to work in a collaborative team environment, focused on driving future innovation
* The ability to be self aware and a wish to drive your own development
