Overview

Job Type: Full-time | On-site

We are currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Accounts Administrator to join our accounts department at our Head Office in East Grinstead, West Sussex. This role offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in both finance and accounting functions within a supportive and growing team.


Responsibilities

* Process and administer incoming payments from various sources
* Take customer payments over the phone
* Provide support with credit control and monthly payment processing
* Assist with processing and verifying payable and purchase invoices
* Support bookkeeping tasks and data entry
* Process expense claims accurately and in a timely manner
* Scan, file, and manage accounts documents
* Assist the accounts team with general administrative duties as required


Qualifications

* 1–2 years’ experience in a similar finance or accounts role
* Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping, accounts payable, and credit control principles
* Strong numerical and data entry skills with high attention to detail
* Excellent English communication skills and telephone manners
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
* Customer service orientation and negotiation skills
* Highly organised, responsible, and a team player
* Advantageous: Fluency in Italian and/or Russian
* Interest in finance/accounting (e.g. working towards an AAT qualification is a plus)
* Experience: Minimum 1 year in a relevant role
* Work authorisation: Must have the right to work in the UK
* Location: This role is office-based in East Grinstead (no remote working)
