About the Role
We’re seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps Consultant with deep expertise in GitHub Enterprise and GitHub Advanced Security (GHAS) to join a forward-thinking technology team. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead strategic DevOps initiatives, enhance secure software delivery, and shape governance practices across a modern engineering landscape.
Key Responsibilities
* Administer and optimize GitHub Enterprise environments across complex organizational structures.
* Implement and manage GHAS features including code scanning, secret scanning, and dependency management.
* Design and enforce GitHub governance models, including repository structures, access controls, and change management workflows.
* Integrate SSO solutions (e.g., Entra ID/Azure AD or equivalent) for secure identity and access management.
* Collaborate with engineering teams to enhance CI/CD pipelines and automation strategies.
* Conduct environment assessments, identify gaps, and recommend scalable improvements.
Essential Skills & Experience
* Proven experience with GitHub Enterprise administration in large-scale environments.
* Strong understanding of GitHub governance and DevOps best practices.
* Hands-on expertise with GHAS and secure development workflows.
* Experience with SSO integration and IAM platforms (Azure AD, Entra ID, or similar).
* Solid grasp of CI/CD principles and automation tooling.
* Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities.
Desirable Skills
* Experience migrating repositories from legacy systems (e.g., Bitbucket, GitLab, SVN).
* Knowledge of repository lifecycle management and archival strategies.
* Familiarity with tools like Jira, Confluence, and other collaboration platforms.
* Exposure to DevSecOps practices and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
