Maintenance Operative - 6-Month FTCLocation: London (with UK-wide travel)

Are you a proactive and practical individual with a knack for maintenance and problem-solving? Our client, a reputable business is hiring a Maintenance Operative for a 6-month fixed-term contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic team dedicated to maintaining and supporting public infrastructure across the UK.What you will be doing:* Carrying out reactive and planned maintenance* Diagnosing faults, repairing units, and ensuring all equipment is safe, operational, and well-maintained.* Supporting relocations of units and assisting with stock handling and operational tasks.* Travelling across the UK, including overnight stays (expenses covered), to different locations to complete maintenance tasks efficiently and safely.* Preparing tools, equipment, and products at the warehouse for each job, and conducting risk assessments on-site to ensure safety for all.What you will bring:* Practical experience in maintenance, repair, or a related field, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.* Strong organisational skills to review upcoming jobs and communicate effectively with the Maintenance Manager.* A proactive approach to safety, including conducting risk assessments before starting work.* Valid driving licence and willingness to travel nationwide, including overnight stays.* Good physical fitness and attention to detail to carry out repairs and installations to a high standard.This role offers a unique chance to contribute to sustainable urban infrastructure, with full support for travel and accommodation.
