Astute's Nuclear team are working with a leading utilities and infrastructure services provider, recognised for its technical excellence and commitment to sustainability. We're recruiting for a Design and MEICA Manager, based on Hinkley Point C, with flexible hybrid working.
This Design and MEICA Manager role offers a salary between £75,000 - £85,000, alongside an attractive benefits package, structured career progression, and the opportunity to lead high-impact design and build projects across the utilities and infrastructure sectors.

Responsibilities and duties:
Reporting to the Director of Projects, you will:
Manage and control the design and MEICA services for the non-core business unit
Lead projects from inception to completion, ensuring safety, compliance, and delivery within budget and programme
Oversee governance, contractual budgets, and resourcing to maintain efficiency and client satisfaction
Deputise for the Director of Projects, taking ownership of day-to-day decision-making when required
Ensure adherence to company systems and procedures, maintaining CDM compliance and risk management standards
Lead client stakeholder management, promoting technical excellence and swift resolution of challenges
Develop and implement strategies for business growth, introducing new technologies and driving continuous improvement
Mentor, motivate, and develop multi-disciplinary teams to deliver projects to the highest standard
Contribute to corporate strategy, supporting innovation and sustainable delivery across design and build activities
Professional qualifications:
We are looking for someone with the following:
A degree (or equivalent) in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline
Significant experience managing the design and delivery of multi-disciplinary projects
Leadership experience in a similar role, with proven team management skills
Strong understanding of CDM compliance, NEC contracts, and risk management
Demonstrable track record of delivering projects to budget and programme
Excellent stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and communication skills
Ability to lead cultural and organisational change effectively
Chartered (or working towards) status desirable
