Practice Manager (4 day week) - £38k to £41k excellent benefits - Central SW London\n\nThis is an opportunity to join an NHS medical practice, located within a village type setting that accommodates elderly residents. Part of the village setting offers a healthcare practice and various medical/healthcare professionals. The Medical Practice offers an onsite GP/Consultancy for its elderly residents and a few of the senior staff, with a Physician, Surgeon, Practice Nurse, HCA, Receptionist, and Administrator.
This role is to provide leadership & management to enable the Practice to meet agreed aims & objectives within a safe, effective & efficient working environment, whilst fostering a committed team. Main areas of responsibility being the medical centre working area environment, staff development and the day to day running of the Practice.\n\nSALARY ETC:\n\n * £38k to £41k (for the 4-day working week), as well as an excellent benefits package.\n\n * Central SW London\n\n * Permanent, working 4 days (week days), and core working hours are office based, however some flexibility will be required when covering for the receptionist holidays.\n\nREQUIREMENTS:\n\n * Good standard of education with excellent literacy and numeracy skills Leadership and / or Management Qualification\n\n * Good communication skills and standard of English.\n\n * Accomplished manager, with the ability to manage a changing environment\n\n * Good understanding of primary care / NHS, with experience of working with the general public\n\n * Experience of managing accounting procedures including budget and cash flow forecasting\n\n * Experience of managing multidisciplinary teams\n\n * Experience of performance management, including appraisal writing, staff development and disciplinary procedures\n\n * Experience of chairing meetings, producing agendas and minutes.\n\n * Educated to degree level in healthcare or business or demonstrable experience within a similar role\n\n * Recognised Practice Management qualification, or equivalent experience.\n\nDUTIES TO INCLUDE:\n\n * Establish and maintain a system of control for the booking of the consultation rooms\n\n * Ensure that the Practice complies with all aspects of Health and Safety legislation\n\n * Liaise with finance department regarding insurance requirements.\n\n * Ensure the smooth running of the clinical sessions held in the Practice through adequate staffing levels.\n\n * Responsible for staff inductions & on-going personal development plans.\n\n * Manage the administrative staff and non-clinical management of the nursing staff, taking the lead responsibility in staff appraisal and training\n\n * To ensure that the Practice adhere to the NHS Information Governance guidelines\n\n * Ensure efficient internal and external communication including being a point of contact for the Integrated Care Board and any other relevant organisation\n\n * To develop and maintain external communication with the practices Primary Care Network\n\n * Ensure timely submission of data to Integrated Care Board, Primary Care Network & GP Federations or other relevant organisations to meet contractual requirements\n\n * Ensure that the Practice is compliant with Care Quality Commission requirements\n\n * To attend Practice Managers Forum meetings & Primary Care Network Group (PCN) meetings\n\n * Ensure the Practice complies with NHS contractual obligations in relation to patient care\n\n * To manage the Practice budget and with other staff seek to maximise income into the Practice
