Working Hours: 08:00 - 17:00 | Monday to Friday | 40 hrs per week

Role Overview:
To work as part of the facilities team to be responsible for the day-to-day upkeep, maintenance, and smooth operation of buildings and surrounding areas. The role ensures that premises are safe, functional, and well-presented for occupants, staff, and visitors.
About the role
What you'll do:
1. Support the technical team in assisting with general maintenance works as and when required and needed.
2. Carry out minor mechanical works and general handyman duties such as painting, repairing any damage to walls, replacing wallpaper and building furniture.
3. As required, assess porterage jobs and complete relevant H&S risk assessments, ensuring all staff undertaking the task are appropriately briefed and aware of their responsibilities
4. Maintain records of the activities and report on any issues that may impact on SLA’s ahead of target.
5. To undertake sufficient training to ensure knowledge of the systems required to facilitate the position.
6. To communicate effectively with all colleagues to prioritise work and encourage excellent feedback and formulating minutes of meetings between contractors.
7. Management of day-to-day inventory and stock control and processing orders.
8. Source, develop and maintain relationship with suppliers and subcontractors
9. To ensure that clients are subjected to minimum disruptions whilst work is carried out.
10. Moving of office furniture and equipment, ensuring compliance with manual handling, risk assessments and method statements
11. Act upon reasonable requests and instructions from Site Supervisor, Contracts Manager and Client
Who you'll be:
12. Proven experience in a handyman / maintenance operative role
13. Physically able to undertake a range of manual activities across sites
14. IT Literate and able to carry out basic computer duties such as spreadsheets and databases
15. Excellent communication skills
16. Eligible to obtain a high-level security clearance
17. Full UK Driving Licence
