Job Title: Consultant in Adult Psychiatry Grade: Consultant Location: Crediton, Devon Working Hours: 40 hours per week Rate: Competitive — details to be discussed upon application We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Consultant in Adult Psychiatry to join our NHS client in Crediton, Devon. This full-time role offers the opportunity to provide expert psychiatric care within a supportive and multidisciplinary environment, serving adults with complex mental health needs. Key Responsibilities Provide clinical leadership and psychiatric care for adults with a range of mental health conditions. Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments, diagnoses, and treatment planning. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including nursing, psychology, social care, and primary care professionals. Participate in service development, clinical governance, and quality improvement initiatives. Supervise and support junior medical staff and trainees. Engage with families, carers, and external agencies to ensure holistic, person-centred care. Qualifications & Experience Full GMC registration with a licence to practise Inclusion on the Specialist Register for General Adult Psychiatry (or within 6 months of CCT) MRCPsych or equivalent qualification Experience in adult psychiatry and multidisciplinary team working Strong leadership, communication, and clinical decision-making skills How to Apply If your experience aligns with this role, apply today!
