About the role
The purpose of this role is to attend and repair vehicle (bus) breakdowns on the road, carry out change overs & minor repairs on the roadside.
Key Accountabilities
1. Attend and repair breakdowns
2. Carry out change overs & minor repairs on the roadside
3. Booking out parts when required
4. Working within health and safety regulations
5. Deliver a high standard of repair/temp repair to get bus back to depot
6. Ensure an effective working relationship with staff
7. Complete accurate breakdown records, keeping paperwork up to date and filled in correctly
8. Carry out any other duties that may be deemed suitable by the engineering manager
About you
1. Do you hold a valid UK driver's licence?
2. Are you a UK resident and can you prove RtW?
3. You must have mechanical knowledge with Breakdown skills and experience.
4. You must have at minimum a level 2 mechanic qualification.
5. You do not have to hold a PCV licence, but that would be advantageous; we will help you obtain it if not.
Shifts: Rotating 5 over 7, early shift and late weekends to cover
Hourly rate: £14.41
