Job Title: Cover Supervisor

Salary: £460 – £650 per week
Contract Type: Full-time, long-term / Day-to-day

Are you confident managing a classroom and supporting young people to stay focused on their learning? A welcoming secondary school in Worksop is seeking a reliable Cover Supervisor to join their team and provide consistent classroom supervision across a range of subjects.

About the Role:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise whole classes during teacher absence, ensuring students complete set work and remain engaged throughout the lesson. You will help maintain a calm, structured classroom environment while supporting learning continuity across the school day.
Responsibilities:
* Supervise classes across KS3 and KS4 in the absence of teaching staff
* Ensure students stay on task with pre-set learning materials
* Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
* Support a positive and focused learning environment
* Provide clear instructions to students when required
* Report any issues or concerns to relevant staff
* Maintain consistency and structure within lessons
Requirements:
* Experience working with young people is desirable
* Strong communication and behaviour management skills
* Confident, calm and professional approach
* Ability to adapt to different classroom situations
* Reliable and flexible availability
* A genuine interest in supporting education
