If so, we are looking for a Childrens Crisis Support Worker to join our team, providing vital care and stability in a variety of settings. About Us: Prospero Health & Social Care are committed to providing high-quality care, tailored to the complex needs of children and families. The Role: As a Childrens Crisis Support Worker, you will be responsible for supporting children and young people in crisis. You will provide emotional and practical support, ensuring their immediate safety and well-being while helping them to achieve their goals while adopting positive coping strategies. Responsibilities include: · Providing care and supervision in a residential and community setting · Building trust with children through a range of therapeutic approaches and support strategies · Managing complex behaviours while maintaining a calm, supportive atmosphere. · Assisting with daily routines, including meals, and recreational activities. · Working alongside social workers and other professionals to assess and respond to the needs of each young person. · Conducting regular Key work sessions with the young person · Supporting children and their families Key Responsibilities: · Providing emotional support and a listening ear to children during times of crisis. · Maintaining a safe, structured, and nurturing environment. · Managing and de-escalating challenging behaviour in a calm and professional manner. · Completing detailed, accurate records of incidents, behaviour, and progress. · Collaborating with the wider care team to ensure the childs needs are met. · Adhering to safeguarding policies and ensuring the childs safety is always the top priority. Requirements: · A minimum of 6 months UK experience working with vulnerable children and young people within a residential setting or similar · Must be able to provide 2 professional references from most recent employers. · Must have an Enhanced Adult & Child DBS registered on the update service or be willing to process a new one with Prospero · A calm, empathetic, and patient approach, even under pressure. · Strong communication and interpersonal skills. · Ability to manage emotionally charged situations and provide support in a crisis. · Flexibility to work on a shift basis, including nights, weekends, and holidays. · A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
