Join our small but vital Museum Archive and Information Governance team as a Records Management Officer, where we manage the museum's internal records-from meeting minutes and accession records to exhibition captions and publicity materials.
As part of the Governance Department, our team plays a key role in:
- Helping staff manage and access the information they need through clear policies, procedures, and hands-on support
- Preserving both physical and digital records for future research and museum operations
- Ensuring compliance with Data Protection and Freedom of Information legislation
We're looking for someone to support our records management programme, ensuring that IWM's business records are trustworthy, secure, accessible, and preserved for the long term. With most of our records now digital, this role is central to how we manage information across the organisation.
As Records Management Officer, you'll need strong literacy/numeracy skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a proven ability to work independently and meet deadlines. An interest in records and information management, and an appreciation of its importance, is key.
If you're ready to help shape how IWM preserves and protects its institutional memory, we'd love to hear from you.
For a full list of duties and the person specification (which your application will be marked against) please view the Job Description at IWM Jobs.
