The Support Worker Role: We are recruiting a support worker to support an 11 year old boy with cerebral palsy living in his own home. The client is a wheelchair user and communicates using high and low tech communication devices and via facial expressions and gestures. He can express his wishes and preferences to those who know him well. The role will involve enabling the client to engage in rehabilitation, social and recreational activities, and empowering him to be as independent as possible. The package will include care during weekends, evenings and working abroad during family holidays. Therefore, a flexible approach will be required as availability for this is essential.
