Process Engineer Location: Washington, Tyne & Wear Sector: Industrial Manufacturing Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum, depending on experience Central Employment are looking to recruit a Process Engineer to join a manufacturing organisation based in Washington, Tyne & Wear. This role supports continuous improvement across production, focusing on quality, safety, and operational performance. Key Responsibilities: Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce costs Develop, maintain, and enforce SOPs across manufacturing operations Support the introduction of new products into production, including validation and training Assist in root cause analysis and resolution of quality issues (CCA/NRFT) Work cross-functionally with Quality, Production, and Technical teams Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and environmental regulations Candidate Requirements: 3–5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment Strong understanding of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methods Familiarity with tools such as FMEA, 8D, Ishikawa, 5-Why, and SPC Degree or HNC/HND in Engineering or a related discipline Six Sigma Green Belt (preferred) Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills Benefits: Competitive salary up to £50,000 25 days holiday plus bank holidays Company pension scheme Career development opportunities On-site parking Employee assistance programme This is a hands-on position offering the chance to make a significant impact on process performance and efficiency within a well-established manufacturing environment.
