Senior Teaching Assistant - Yr 5&6

FTE £27852.00 (Pro rata £19179.42) working 30 hours per week term time only- 38 weeks
We are seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team, working primarily in Year 5/6. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a real difference in children’s learning and development.
About the Role
The successful candidate will:
1. Support teaching and learning across Year 5&6
2. Work closely with the class teacher to deliver high-quality learning experiences
3. Lead on interventions (teacher planned) for key children
4. Support TAs within the Year 5&6 team
5. Cover classes (teacher planned)
6. Help create an inclusive, nurturing and positive learning environment
What We’re Looking For
7. Experience is essential - we are looking for a TA with proven experience in KS2 and covering classes
8. Strong understanding of supporting pupils with SEN, especially Autism and SEMH
9. Someone patient, proactive and confident in adapting strategies to meet individual needs
10. A positive, empathetic approach and genuine commitment to helping children thrive
11. Excellent communication and teamwork skills
