With innovation, compliance, and customer trust at its core, the company is scaling rapidly and seeks an experienced Head of Technology to lead its technical strategy and engineering function through the next stage of growth.
The Role
As Head of Technology, you will be responsible for defining and executing the company’s technology vision, ensuring the delivery of secure, scalable, and high-performing solutions that power international payment flows. This is a hands-on leadership role, blending technical depth with strategic oversight. You will work closely with the senior leadership team, product, and operations to drive innovation and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the end-to-end technology function, including software engineering, infrastructure, DevOps, and architecture.
* Develop and implement the overall technical roadmap aligned with business objectives.
* Ensure systems meet the highest standards of security, compliance, and scalability, particularly in regulated financial environments.
* Build, mentor, and grow a high-performing engineering team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
* Partner with product and operations to deliver new features and capabilities that enhance customer experience and operational efficiency.
* Oversee vendor selection and management for key technology partnerships.
* Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends in payments, APIs, and financial infrastructure.
* Support strategic initiatives such as international expansion, platform migration, and system integration.
About You
* Proven experience in a senior technology leadership role (e.g. Head of Tech, CTO, or Engineering Director) within fintech, payments, or financial services.
* Strong background in software development and system architecture (experience with cloud-native, API-driven, and microservices environments preferred).
* Deep understanding of payment systems, FX, or transaction processing.
* Familiarity with compliance and security frameworks relevant to financial institutions (e.g. PCI DSS, ISO 27001).
* Demonstrated ability to scale technology teams and systems in a high-growth environment.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence at all levels.
* Strategic mindset with a hands-on, problem-solving approach.
