We have some great opportunities at the moment to come and join us as we redevelop our site in Bridge of Allan, Scotland. We are currently looking for a Night Hygiene Manager. The Night Hygiene Manager is responsible for leading, planning, and coordinating all overnight hygiene and sanitation activities within a redmeat processing facility. This role ensures that all equipment, production areas, and environmental spaces are cleaned to regulatory, customer, and internal quality standards to support safe, efficient startup of daily operations.
Working Hours - Monday to Friday 5pm - 2am.
Key Responsibilities
Hygiene & Sanitation Management
* Oversee execution of the facility's nightly sanitation program, including equipment cleaning, disinfecting, and reassembly.
* Ensure compliance with relevant food safety regulations
* Verify that all cleaning processes follow validated procedures and chemical usage guidelines.
* Conduct nightly hygiene audits, swab verification, and environmental monitoring checks.
* Ensure allergen, crosscontamination, and pathogen controls are executed correctly.
People Leadership
* Lead, mentor, and develop a team of hygiene operatives.
* Manage staffing levels, shift scheduling, training, and performance evaluations.
* Manage job rotation across all areas of the factory
* Encourage a strong safety and food safety culture within the team.
Regulatory & Compliance
* Maintain strict adherence to regulatory standards for redmeat facilities, including animalhandling area hygiene, carcasscontact zones, and equipment sanitation.
* Prepare for and support internal and external audits (e.g., USDA, BRC, SQF, customer audits).
* Ensure uptodate documentation, sanitation standard operating procedures (SSOPs), and cleaning logs.
Continuous Improvement
* Identify opportunities to improve hygiene efficiency, chemical usage, water/energy consumption, and sanitation cycle times.
* Drive rootcause analysis and corrective actions for microbiological or sanitationrelated deviations.
* Collaborate with technical, maintenance, and production teams to develop improved cleaning methods.
Health & Safety
* Enforce compliance with health and safety standards
* Conduct regular risk assessments and incident investigations.
* Promote safe work practices and ensure training on sanitation tool/equipment use.

Qualifications & Experience
* Experience in hygiene management within a redmeat, poultry, or food manufacturing environment (required).
* Strong understanding of HACCP, SSOPs, GFSI standards (BRC/SQF), and microbiological risks.
* Demonstrated leadership experience managing teams on night shifts.
* Knowledge of chemical handling, CIP systems, and sanitation equipment.
* Ability to troubleshoot sanitation issues in mechanical, process, or facility systems.
* Strong communication, organizational, and problemsolving skills.
