Due to recent expansion through mergers and acquisitions, we are looking to further strengthen our Corporate Reporting team with the addition of a Group Financial Accountant. The successful candidate will work with the Head of Corporate Reporting and assist in preparation of Audit and Statutory Accounts, provide accurate support in financial reporting.
We work Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm, offering 26 days holiday, plus Bank Holidays, Pension, Company Events and a commitment to Training and Development opportunities.
The Role:
Audit and statutory accounts
* Key point of contact in group audit
* SRA and SAR audit and report
* Preparation of annual statutory accounts
* Interim accounts
* Creating effective and cost-efficient financial practices and procedures
* Understand and adhere to all financial and accounting regulations and legislation
Public company reporting
* Statutory accounts as above
* Trading updates and other announcements (if listed)
Tax
* Prepare annual tax returns with tax advisors
* Tax planning
* VAT, other regulatory and Govt. reporting
The Person:
* Strong understanding of UK GAAP & IFRS and UK Tax
* Account qualification (ACA/ACMA/ACCA or equivalent)
* Ability to communicate at all levels and across all departments.
* Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
* Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
* High levels of attention to detail.
* Professional approach.
