A vital member of the finance team you will be entrusted to provide hands-on accurate and up to date financial records, leveraging your proven accounting experience you will embrace the daily challenges and tasks with utmost confidence and professionalism. Role Responsibilities of the Accountant: To accurately record all financial transactions and process invoices To maintain and ensure all financial records are reconciled and balanced, including ledgers, accounts payable and accounts receivable To generate financial reports and quarterly management accounts in a timely and accurate manner To accurately prepare and submit VAT returns To monitor all financial transactions and cash flow management To keep abreast of accounting principles, regulations, and software advances To collaborate with the wider team, maintaining a highly professional and confidential approach at all times Skills you will require as an Accountant: Essential: Proven experience in an accounting and/or bookkeeping role A strong and proven knowledge of accounting principles and concepts Proficient in the use of accountancy software including Xero or similar accounting software Excellent communication and interpersonal skills The ability to collaborate effectively across the business Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail and excellent problem solving abilities Highly organised with the capacity prioritise workloads to meet deadlines Driven and adaptable with a willingness to learn and develop A professional, diligent and confidential approach to handling sensitive financial data Proficient IT skills Desirable: AAT or equivalent qualification Knowledge and understanding of rural affairs and properties Remuneration: A competitive salary commensurate with the candidate's experience.
