We're looking for a storeperson / support driver who would be responsible for managing materials, tools, and equipment used in multi-utility installations and maintenance projects.The role ensures accurate stock control, timely delivery of materials to field teams, and compliance with health and safety standards specific to utility operations.Why Work With Us?We don't just offer a job, we offer a long-term career with real benefits:Competitive Salary: Starting from £28,000 - £33,000, plus annual performance-based bonus.Generous Holiday: 30 days per year (inclusive of bank holidays), increasing up to 35 days.Supportive Culture: Friendly, inclusive, and welcoming workplace with a strong team ethos.Critical Injury Scheme: Financial and wellbeing support should the unexpected occur.Key ResponsibilitiesWarehouse / Store DutiesReceive, inspect, and record incoming utility materials at remote stores locations (pipes, fittings, cables, meters, ducting, safety equipment, etc.)Verify deliveries against purchase orders and delivery notesOrganise and store materials in designated areas for easy accessPick and prepare materials for scheduled utility projectsMaintain accurate inventory records and assist with stock auditsMonitor minimum stock levels and report shortagesMaintain a clean, secure, and compliant yard/warehouse environmentConduct routine equipment checks on tools and plant before dispatchSupport Driver DutiesDeliver materials, tools, and equipment to multiple job sites across EnglandAssist field engineers and utility teams with loading and unloadingEnsure correct materials are delivered according to job specificationsCollect surplus materials and return them to stockComplete delivery paperwork and obtain required signaturesConduct daily vehicle safety inspections and report defectsAdhere to road safety regulations and company transport policiesComply with all health, safety, and environmental regulations on sitesHealth & Safety ResponsibilitiesFollow industry safety standards and company HSE policiesUse appropriate PPE at all timesEnsure safe handling of heavy and specialist utility materialsSupport safe yard and vehicle operationsReport hazards, incidents, or near misses promptlyRequirements & QualificationsEssentialValid driver's license (appropriate class for commercial vehicles) - no more than 6 penalty pointsPrevious experience in warehouse, logistics, or construction/utility environmentKnowledge of stock control systemsGood understanding of health and safety proceduresPhysically fit and able to handle heavy materialsDesirableExperience within the multi-utility or construction industryBasic knowledge of utility materials and equipmentFirst Aid or safety certificationKey Skills & CompetenciesStrong organisational skillsAttention to detailAbility to work under pressureGood communication skillsTeam-oriented with a proactive attitudeReliable and punctualWorking ConditionsCombination of warehouse, yard, and on-site workOutdoor work in varying weather conditionsManual handling requiredTravel to multiple job locationsYour shift will usually be between the hours of 7am - 3pm, although there will be overtime on some occasions to meet project deadlines
