The Opportunity
The SHE Technician will be part of the SHE Team who are responsible for delivering a joined up and consistent approach to SHE initiatives across the site and at all levels, supporting changes to the working environment, implementation of new equipment with health and safety support in the form of advice, risk assessments, safe systems of work and safe operating procedures and any changes that may have an environmental impact.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure all Risk Assessments are up to date and appropriate
Ensure all start up checks incorporate the relevant risk assessment information
Maintain all site Safe Operating Procedures and Safe Systems of Work ensuring these are trained to the relevant employees and contain the most up to date risk assessment information
Conduct noise assessments as required
Act as a point of contact for departmental safety representatives
Conduct regular health and safety audits across the site and feedback to the relevant managers / stakeholders

A recognised health and safety qualification or willingness to work towards
? Good working knowledge of health and safety legislation is desirable
Ability to prioritise workload accordingly
Good attention to detail
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office packages, particularly Word and Excel
