Lifecycle Engineer - EHM Capability

Full Time

What you will be doing

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Group Lifecycle Engineering Capability Team working on EHM and data analysis specific technologies and capabilities.

The primary purpose of this role is to work with stakeholders to define future EHM and data analysis capability that is needed across the RR group, spanning tools, data, methods and processes. In addition, you will be responsible for working with teams across the business such as Controls, Supply Chain Units, as well as Universities and Platform providers to deliver specific capability work packages. Themes will be identified across the SATAA (Sense, Acquire, Transfer, Analyse, Act) framework.

You will be working on topics such as Future Programmes, Ultrafan, Research & Technology programmes (REPLENISH), Capability Investment programmes (PREVENT), Data Management, Cloud computing and analysis, Intelligent Engine for Defence, Machine Learning, 1Hz data, cross Division knowledge share, task automation and AI assisted technologies.

Responsibilities

Lead exploratory concept studies for new analytical methodsRepresent Engineering for trials of new tools proposed from internal and external Digital teamsCreating strategy roadmaps and consulting with key stakeholders in their generation and communicationEvaluate business benefit for capability options and recommend course of actionIPT leading capability improvement programmesCollaborate across Divisions to advance knowledge in the EHM skill areaActively participate in the EHM Community of PracticeCommunicate and disseminate new capability to teams globallyDefining and creating data management best practices
Who we're looking for:

Engineering or Numerical degree (or equivalent experience).Proven ability to support and lead cross-functional teams.Good understanding of systems engineering, ideally including end to end health monitoring systems.Good understanding of data analytics, ideally cloud based.Understanding of Gas Turbine physical/functional characteristics and failure modes is desirable but not essential.Able to work proactively and autonomously.
