Staffline Recruitment are working in partnership with my client, a large food processing company based in Duncrue, Belfast who are urgently seeking a Machine Operator/Forklift Operator potentially on a temporary to permanent basis for the right person
Hours of Work
This is a floating rota role and may involve working any shift within the following times:
1. Monday to Friday
2. 6:00am - 2:00am
If production is not completed by 2:00am, you will be required to remain on site for overtime. This may run as late as 3:00am, 4:00am, or 5:00am, depending on business needs.
Rate of Pay
£ per hour
Summary of Role
Responsible for carrying out routine mechanical tasks and ensuring the effective upkeep of machinery, with the aim of minimising downtime and supporting the smooth running of the Production Department
Duties and Responsibilities
3. Carry out machinery and equipment safety checks as required
4. Ensure efficient and uninterrupted operation of machinery
5. Transport goods and pallets across site using a counterbalance forklift
6. Emptying and Loading Lorries
7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date departmental records
8. Meet daily production requirements as instructed by the Production Management Team
9. Minimise downtime and waste
10. Operate a counterbalance forklift (experience required)
Essential Criteria
11. Previous experience within a food manufacturing environment
12. Strong attention to detail with experience in record keeping
13. Good awareness of health and safety legislation
14. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
15. Good standard of written and spoken English
16. Ability to work accurately under pressure and meet deadlines and targets
