An independent school in Northampton is seeking a passionate and experienced Forest School Teacher to join their team with an immediate start. The Role:
You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, child-led Forest School sessions that promote holistic development through outdoor exploration. Working with small groups, you’ll create a safe, inspiring, and inclusive environment where pupils can take risks, build resilience, and develop practical skills.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver high-quality Forest School sessions in line with Forest School principles
* Foster a safe and supportive outdoor learning environment
* Carry out risk assessments and maintain health & safety standards
* Encourage curiosity, independence, and teamwork among pupils
* Monitor and evaluate pupil progress and engagement
* Work collaboratively with school staff and leadership
Requirements:
* Level 3 Forest School Leader qualification (Preferable)
* Experience delivering Forest School sessions with children (primary age preferred)
* Strong understanding of outdoor education and child-led learning
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
* First Aid qualification (desirable)
