Why this role matters
As a Senior Solicitor in our Employment Rights team, you’ll help shape outcomes that change working lives. From complex discrimination and whistleblowing claims to collective rights and test litigation, you’ll run and lead high‑impact cases and contribute to the development of strategy in matters that set direction for our clients and the movement.
You’ll also have opportunities towork closely with experienced partners and colleagues, and contribute to the mentoring and supervision of junior lawyers in the team.
We operate a team‑based working model in Employment Rights so lawyers at every level gain exposure to the most complex matters, with clear lines of support and progression.
What you’ll do
* Manage and lead a varied caseload of complex Employment Tribunal and (where appropriate) Employment Appeal Tribunal matters, exercising sound judgment on key tactical decisions.
* Contribute to collective case strategy (case management hearings) and contribute to collective case strategy.
* Work closely with trade unions — building relationships with officials regionally and nationally.
* Support, supervise and develop junior colleagues.
What you’ll bring
* Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Fellow of CILEx with significant employment litigation experience.
* A deep grasp of ET procedure and a track record of handling complex or high‑value complex cases from start to finish end‑to‑end.
* Excellent written and oral advocacy skills, with clear client communication.
* Commitment to social justice and a desire to stand up for workers and their unions.
