We have an exciting opportunity within the Sales Department for a permanent Sales Office Manager position at Walker Filtration.
The purpose of this role is to ensure consistent customer interaction, service excellence, that robust sales processes are defined and followed leading to the support of profitable growth in sales revenues. With positive planning and effective deployment of sales resource the successful candidate will be expected to drive continuous improvement and growth.
This is a key role reporting directly into the Head of Commercial, with multiple key stakeholders throughout the business. The role will be a key player in the business and a strong identifiable leader within the department.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales Strategy
1. Collaborate with relevant stakeholders in establishing and recommending the most realistic sales goals for the Company
2. Assist to develop specific plans and strategies to ensure revenue growth in all Company’s products
Sales Management & Administration
3. Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the internal sales team.
4. Set clear sales objectives and targets for the team and ensure alignment with company goals.
5. Monitor individual and team performance, providing constructive feedback and coaching as needed.
6. Foster a collaborative and motivating work environment to maximize team productivity and morale.
7. Work with the Team on Commercial Viability Investigations (CVI) and New Product Introduction (PPI)
8. Focus on pricing controls and regular pricing reviews
9. CRM management and maintenance, ensuring that CRM information is relevant and up to date
10. Overall responsibility for ensuring a first-class level of administration and customer service throughout the department
11. Focus on departmental objectives and the achievement of KPIs
12. Regular communication and support with other departments throughout the business such as Operations, Supply Chain, Technical, Finance and HR
Process & Procedure
13. Lead the Digital transition of all commercial processes. From CVI, lead generation, pipeline management through to business and sales analytics.
14. Evaluate and improve all process and procedures within the department to ensure they are robust and efficient
15. Assess current business systems and software, their utilisation and future requirement
16. Estimating and price control (implementing new procedures)
17. Constantly analyse processes to improve operational efficiency
People Management
18. Help to establish effective programmes to coach, appraise and train sales personnel
19. Drive a culture of self-development, nurture, and develop more junior staff
Self-Development
20. Maintain a strong customer focus whilst adapting and understanding to the differing requirements of OEM and distributor markets
21. Forward thinking with a constant requirement to develop and improve not only the individual but the department, a strong focus on continual improvement is required
PERSON SPECIFICATION

Professional Requirements
22. Degree, or similar, in a business-related topic is preferred
23. Extensive sales and industry experience, a minimum 5-7 years’ experience in a sales or office environment
24. A sound understanding of Microsoft Office software, particularly Excel and Power-Bi
25. Language skills would be advantageous
