We have partnered with a f ast‑growing organisation that is reshaping how privateclient services are delivered. They are looking for multiple legal Professionals and/or those who are highly experienced probate case handlers. This position offers the chance to work directly with their Head of Legal while partnering with teams across the business, including product, operations and commercial functions, to provide high‑quality, modern Probate support to their customers.
Our client is seeking a Probate Case Handler or a qualified legal professional (Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive, England & Wales) with at least one year of experience in probate or estate administration. You will play an important role in delivering efficient, accessible andpassionate estate administration services within a forward‑thinking legal environment. This role offers the opportunity to influence how probate work is carried out within an innovative, tech‑enabled legal team. You will manage a diverse portfolio of matters, from routine estates to moreplex, higher‑value cases while contributing to the growth and development of the wider team. Key responsibilities of the role include:
1. Managing your own caseload of probate and estate administration matters from initial instruction through to final distribution.
2. Advising clients on probate, inheritance tax and other private‑client issues.
3. Drafting and reviewing legal documentation such as estate accounts, IHT forms and applications for grants.
4. Maintaining compliance with relevant legislation, regulatory requirements and internal governance standards.
5. Supporting junior team members and offering guidance where needed.
6. Working with colleagues in product, technology and customer‑facing teams to refine and improve service delivery.
7. Contributing to operational and process‑improvement projects, including those involving Legal‑tech and AI solutions.
8. Handling sensitive conversations with clients in a clear, professional and empathetic way.
9. Representing the legal team in cross‑departmental initiatives and managing escalated matters when required.
What you'll need to succeed
10. Qualified professional (Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive, England & Wales) with at least a year of experience in probate or wider private‑client work.
11. Someone who enjoys working in a dynamic environment and is motivated by the evolving landscape of legal service delivery.
12. An assured communicator who can guide clients through delicate situations with patience, clarity and understanding.
13. Demonstrated background in overseeing probate and estate‑administration matters from start to finish.
14. Confidence in dealing with moreplex or higher‑value estates independently.
