Job Description:
Ferguson Transport & Shipping is currently recruiting for a Shunter Driver to work nights (8pm/8-10 hour Shift) to move trailers in Mallaig and assist with the loading of cargo (fish feed, forestry products, steel and paper products and any other cargo as required).
Full training will be provided, however previous experience within a similar work environment or with forklift operations could be an advantage.
You will need to have:
* a valid UK driving licence
* a positive attitude to work and prepared to follow company policies and procedures
There is potential to gain an HGV Class 1 Licence, should that be of interest.
Weekly paid – Rates of Pay:
Night Shift Shunter Driver: £14.30hr + Shift Allowance £8.16 per day

As a Shunting Driver you will :
* drive Works vehicles as necessary according to licence provision
* drive Works vehicles with a variety of attachment trailers when necessary
* load with care, general cargo including forestry products, fertiliser, steel and paper products and any other cargo required
* ensure safe and secure loading and unloading
* move trailers around site using a Terberg shunt unit.
* one or two nights (eg: 9pm start) a week may be required to be worked
