This Patient Safety role offers an exciting opportunity to make a real difference to patient safety and quality across the Trust. The post holder will work closely with clinical teams and senior leaders to support learning from incidents, strengthen safety systems, and turn insight into meaningful improvement.
The role sits at the heart of patient safety work, helping services understand risk, learn well, and embed a positive, just culture. It combines hands‑on operational input with the chance to influence practice at a wider organisational level.

Main duties of the job
To lead and coordinate the Trust’s incident reporting, investigation, and risk management processes, ensuring compliance with national standards and fostering a culture of learning and safety.
The role provides expert operational leadership in managing incidents and risks while embedding learning, supporting staff, and driving continuous improvement through effective governance, stakeholder engagement, and data-driven insight.
