This is a hands-on role where you'll be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and improving a wide range of static and mobile waste processing machinery, including conveyor systems, shredders, and excavators. The role is suited to skilled fitters with experience in plant or mechanical maintenance, ideally within the waste or heavy industry sectors. The position operates on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, with day and night rotations. Key Responsibilities: Maintenance: Carry out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on a range of plant machinery, including conveyors, shredders, excavators, and other equipment Diagnosis and Repair: Troubleshoot issues, diagnose faults, and perform necessary repairs, replacements, or adjustments to ensure machinery runs at optimal performance Preventative Maintenance: Implement and carry out preventative maintenance programmes to reduce equipment failures and downtime Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all safety procedures, including LOTO (Lock Out Tag Out) and permit-to-work systems.
