Overview
University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust invites an ACC‑qualified Clinical Coder to join the Clinical Coding department, focusing on delivering high‑quality coded data that meets national standards.
Responsibilities
* Code a variety of specialties within an acute NHS organisation.
* Create accurate clinical coded data in line with NHS Trust standards.
* Collaborate closely with Clinical Coding Team Leaders and support Trainee Clinical Coders.
* Work with the Data & Analytics Team to develop and improve coding tools.
* Ensure coded data is accurate, complete, and delivered within strict monthly and national deadlines.
Qualifications
* ACC qualification (Clinical Coder).
* Experience coding multiple specialties in an NHS environment.
* Strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to work under pressure.
* Proven record of effective teamwork and communication with healthcare professionals.
* Flexibility and adaptability, embracing coding standards, rules, and conventions.
