Role Overview:
As a Tearoom Assistant, you will play a key role in delivering outstanding customer service while supporting the smooth running of the tearoom. This is a varied role that requires flexibility, adaptability, and a willingness to learn new skills. You will be involved in food preparation, coffee making, and ensuring high standards of food safety, all while creating a friendly and welcoming atmosphere for our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare and serve hot and cold food to a high standard
* Make and serve barista-style coffees, teas, and other beverages
* Maintain excellent food safety and hygiene practices
* Assist with kitchen duties including cleaning, stock rotation, and prep work
* Provide friendly and efficient customer service front of house
* Support with events, specials, and seasonal menus where required
* Work flexibly across different areas of the tearoom depending on business needs
About You:
* Flexible and versatile, able to adapt to different tasks and situations
* Eager to learn new skills and grow within the role
* Previous experience in a food service, café, or tearoom environment is desirable
* Strong skills in food preparation, food safety, and coffee making
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* A positive attitude with a genuine passion for hospitality

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Temporary, Zero hours contract
Pay: £18,315.00-£29,632.26 per year
Expected hours: 16 – 30 per week
