Key Responsibilities
* Automate and maintain infrastructure and environment provisioning.
* Own and manage the Continuous Integration (CI) infrastructure.
* Develop monitoring and diagnostic solutions for systems and applications.
* Deliver automation solutions for internal users to improve efficiency and reliability.
Essential Skills & Experience
* Strong scripting ability in PowerShell or another scripting language.
* Experience coding in C#, Java, or Python (background as a developer or strong coding competency).
* Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Ansible or Terraform.
* Knowledge of containerisation (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes or Docker Swarm).
* Experience with monitoring tools (ELK Stack, Grafana, or similar).
* Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, ideally using TeamCity.
* Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server.
* Windows and Linux administration experience.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
* Minimum 2:1 degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, ideally from a Russell Group University.
* Minimum AAB at A-level (or equivalent).
Desirable Skills
* Experience with Atlassian tools (Bitbucket, JIRA).
* Artifact storage (Artifactory).
* Octopus Deploy experience.
* Familiarity with static analysis tools (SonarQube).
* Control-M or similar job scheduling tools.
* Cloud platform experience (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
* Knowledge of VMware (vSphere) and SAN storage technologies.
* Financial services experience is a plus but not essential.
