This role will focus on expanding our presence in both public and commercial sector, identifying new business opportunities, and building strong relationships with clients and suppliers. Key Responsibilities: Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including senior staff members at existing clients and industry partners. Proposal Development: Support on the preparation and submission of proposals, bids, and presentations to secure new contracts and projects. Compliance: Ensure all business development activities comply with regulatory requirements and company policies. Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape in the public sector and commercial energy market. Strategic Planning: Develop and implement business development strategies to achieve growth targets and expand market share. Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams to ensure successful development of new and current business and customer satisfaction. Reporting: Provide regular updates and reports on business development activities, progress, and outcomes to senior management. Skills and Experience: Proven track record in business development or sales within energy brokers/TPIs, preferably with a focus on public sector clients. Strong understanding of energy markets, renewable energy solutions, and decarbonisation strategies. Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Experience managing and securing high-value contracts. Familiarity with funding mechanisms, procurement processes, public sector frameworks, and relevant regulations.
