<div><h3>Job overview</h3><p>Applications are invited for the posts of Clinical Fellow Higher (ST6+) in PaNDR at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.</p><p>Post 1 available to commence from 05 August 2026 for 6 months.</p><p>Post 2 available to commence from 01 September 2026 for 6 months.</p><p>This post has previously been occupied by a number of trainees who have found it beneficial to have exposure in Acute Paediatric Retrieval.</p><h3>Main duties of the job</h3><p>The post holder will participate on the Middle Grade rota, which is a full shift pattern regulated by the European Working Time Directive (EWTD).</p><p>Support for study and professional leaves are built into the job plan. Participation in research and audit activities is strongly encouraged; training opportunities will be equal to those for Specialty Registrars in the department.</p><p>Applicants must meet the essential criteria outlined in the person specification.</p><p>This post does not carry Postgraduate Dean’s approval or training recognition, but the experience may be used as an Out of Programme Experience (OOPE).</p><p>Full Registration and a Licence to Practice with the General Medical Council at the point of commencement are required.</p><h3>Working for your organisation</h3><p>The applicant must have demonstrable skills in listening, reading, writing and speaking in English that enable effective communication about medical topics with patients and colleagues, as set out in the GMC’s Good Medical Practice (2013). Non-UK applicants must possess the IELTS/OET exam before obtaining a GMC licence to practice.</p><p>Applications from job seekers who require skilled worker sponsorship to work in the UK are welcome and will be considered alongside all other applications.</p><p>It is a requirement for skilled worker applicants applying for entry clearance into the UK to present a criminal record certificate from each country they have resided continuously or cumulatively for 12 months or more in the past 10 years. Adult dependants (over 18 years old) will also be subject to this requirement.</p><p>Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is an Equal Opportunities Employer.</p><h3>Detailed job description and main responsibilities</h3><p>This post will also appeal to senior trainees and post-CCT holders in Paediatrics (with HDU Spin), Anaesthetics, Emergency Medicine and ICM who wish to gain further Acute Paediatric or Paediatric Critical Care experience guided and supported by the national PICS-ATG transport Passport Curriculum. It is particularly suited to those wishing to gain experience at middle grade level in a center of excellence before seeking their first Consultant post.</p><p>PaNDR serves the region of East of England (EoE). The service is co‑located with the neonatal service based at Addenbrookes Hospital and serves 15 large non‑paediatric specialist district general hospitals in addition to Addenbrookes Hospital.</p><p>PaNDR has been covering the region of the East of England from 01 April 2022 24/7.
