GXO are currently looking for an Assistant Finance Manager to join us at our site in Lutterworth, supporting our new contract, Scottish Gas Network. You’ll assist in the effective management of the site finance department with all operational support activities including preparation and submission of weekly forecasts, P&L reconciliations, budgeting and period end reporting in compliance with corporate policies and deadlines.

This role is being offered on a full-time, permanent basis, the hours of work are Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 17:00.

You’ll be paid a salary of up to £38,000.00 per annum and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). What you’ll do on a typical day:

Completion of weekly and month end management accounts to review with the operational management team
Providing detailed analysis to the customer and the provision of monthly reporting packs, together with backing documents to support the financial charges
Build relationships with key stakeholders and develop a deeper understanding of the operation
Use initiative and judgement to support the leadership team in delivering operational excellence, challenging the status quo and delivering maximum benefit to the business

What you need to succeed at GXO:

Proven experience in a similar management accounting role
CIMA / ACCA studier or AAT qualified or equivalent
Experience in building strong business relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Familiarity with the principles of open book accounting would be beneficial
