Job Description:
The Role
* This role involves primarily working on motorways, with 90% of the work dedicated to this task.
* Be responsible for picking up loads from the plant and delivering them to the designated sites promptly and efficiently.
* Transporting materials and equipment for central reservation repairs to designated sites, predominantly on motorways.
* Operating the Hiab crane efficiently and safely.
* Adhering to all relevant safety regulations and protocols.
* Occasionally working night shifts as required by project demands.
* Ensuring timely delivery of materials to meet project deadlines.
Requirements
* Full UK driving licence with Class 2 entitlement (category C) essential, but Class 1 licence (category C+E) is preferred.
* Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
* No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
* Have a minimum of 2 years proven experience driving the relevant vehicle.
* Have a full understanding of WTD legislation.
* Proven experience as a Hiab Driver, preferably with motorway repair experience.
* Valid Hiab license, with ALLMI or NPORS accreditations only.
* Ability to work away from home, staying in paid hotel accommodation (shared room) or tramping and being accustomed to nights out in the cab.
* Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
