Job Opportunity: Design Manager (Water & Wastewater Treatment/Infrastructure) Location: Cookstown Salary: £60,000–£70,000 per annum plus package Type: Full Time – Permanent (Hybrid) 2-3 days in the office Are you ready to lead innovative water and wastewater treatment projects with minimal red tapes from concept to completion? We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Design Manager to drive design excellence, ensuring timely, cost-effective, and high-quality solutions that meet regulatory standards and project goals. Responsibilities • Oversee end-to-end design processes for water and wastewater treatment projects, from concept to delivery. • Lead multidisciplinary design teams and supply chain partners, fostering collaboration and effective communication. • Implement design performance management systems, set KPIs, and utilize Earned Value Analysis (EVA) to track design progress and initiate corrective actions. • Ensure compliance with technical standards and CDM regulations, prioritizing health and safety in design. • Manage design changes, assessing impacts on scope, cost, and timeline while maintaining robust change control processes. • Oversee QA processes to ensure design documentation meets required standards. • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and construction teams to align design solutions with project execution. • Engage with clients, regulatory bodies, and contractors to secure approvals and meet specifications. • Monitor design budgets and resources, adjusting strategies to meet financial targets. What we require from you • 8-10 years of experience in design management, focusing on water and wastewater projects/infrastructure • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Design Management, or related field. Chartered status or working towards will be a bonus. • Familiarity with BIM, sustainable design principles, and project management certification (PMP or PRINCE2) is advantageous. • Proven success leading multidisciplinary teams and delivering complex design solutions. • Expertise in, engineering disciplines, and design performance management.
