A rapidly growing and innovative facilities management provider is seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to deliver high-quality electrical compliance and maintenance services across a diverse portfolio of customer sites nationwide. The successful candidate will play a key role in installing, maintaining and repairing electrical systems, ensuring all work is completed in line with current regulations and industry standards. Acting as a trusted representative on client sites, the Electrical Engineer will be responsible for delivering both planned and reactive works efficiently, safely and to a consistently high standard. The role also involves carrying out proactive inspections, completing risk assessments, and ensuring all contractual service level agreements and performance targets are met.
This position requires someone who can build strong relationships with customers and site teams, communicate clearly, and maintain a professional and approachable presence at all times. Accuracy in recording work, completing certification and managing documentation through internal systems is essential, alongside a proactive approach to resolving issues and escalating concerns where necessary.
The role offers a varied working environment with travel to sites across the UK, including occasional overnight stays. There is also a requirement to participate in an out-of-hours rota. All necessary tools and uniform will be provided.
Candidates should hold a full UK driving licence and be fully qualified to industry standards, including 18th Edition Wiring Regulations and a recognised electrical apprenticeship such as NVQ Level 3 with AM2 or equivalent. Inspection and testing qualifications are required, along with a JIB Gold Card. A minimum of five years’ post-qualification experience working across a range of electrical systems is expected.
