Job Description
We are seeking a Youth Worker to support young people with emotional, behavioural and social difficulties at our Specialist School for Children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs in Headington, Oxfordshire. The role involves building relationships with students aged 8–16, and supporting them to make positive life choices using de‑escalation, positive reinforcement, and restorative practice.
Key Responsibilities
* Build and maintain supportive relationships with pupils.
* Use de‑escalation techniques and restorative practice to manage and support behaviour.
* Assist with tailored educational plans addressing social, emotional and mental health needs.
* Collaborate with psychologists, therapists and other staff.
* Encourage confidence and personal growth among students.

* Daily pay: £80‑£95

* Shadowing Psychologists and Therapists
Qualifications & Experience
Ideally will have a degree in a related field or experience working with young people, particularly those who have experienced trauma. Resilience, openness and a supportive attitude are essential.
