Accommodation, Activities & Welfare Officer Location: Cambridge, Cambridgeshire Salary: £26,825 - £28,629 per annum Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time Optima Plus Recruitment is seeking an experienced Accommodation, Activities & Welfare Officer on behalf of a client. This role is based in Cambridge and will play a vital part in supporting international students' accommodation, welfare, and social integration. You will report to the International Centre Manager and provide assistance with accommodation placement, student welfare, and administrative tasks within the international office. Key Responsibilities: * Accommodation: Source and assess quality homestay accommodations, conduct safeguarding and health & safety checks, and manage feedback from students and homestay families. * Welfare: Support the welfare of international students by responding to enquiries, providing advice, and ensuring their well-being throughout their stay. * Admissions & Compliance: Assist with visa applications, ESOL admissions, and other compliance-related processes. * Social & Activities: Coordinate social programmes, organise transport, and be part of the meet and greet team for student arrivals. * Administrative Support: Maintain accurate records, liaise with homestay families, and support the overall operations of the International Centre. What We’re Looking For: * Proven experience in accommodation, welfare, or administrative roles, preferably within an educational environment. * Strong organisational, interpersonal, and communication skills. * A proactive approach to problem-solving, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team. * Knowledge of safeguarding, health and safety regulations, and experience with international students.
