Urology Clinical Nurse Specialist
London: The Lister Hospital, Chelsea
Full time; 37.5 hours per week
Shift times: Monday – Friday (may include some evenings to support clinics)

We are seeking an experienced urology CNS to join our team as a Urology Clinical Nurse Specialist.
This role involves developing our urology service at The Lister Hospital Chelsea and satellite sites. You will be supported by an established team of Urology CNS across HCA facilities. The Lister Hospital has CNS posts in various specialties including gynae, colorectal, IPC, and orthopaedics.
The Urology CNS will have both clinical and service development responsibilities, supported by our business development team. Our robotic prostatectomy service is expanding, requiring specialist CNS support, along with other urology sub-specialties. We seek a dynamic CNS eager to grow the service and explore new opportunities.
You will have extensive experience in urology, managing your time efficiently while maintaining high standards of care recognized at the Lister Hospital.
You will establish clinics and services at the hospital and satellite sites, supporting consultant-led care and enabling patients to complete their urological pathway locally. You will collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to optimize timing for diagnostic and interventional procedures. The hospital has been recognized as 'outstanding' in successive CQC inspections.

What you’ll bring:
* NMC registered Nurse
* Extensive relevant post-registration experience in urology
* Completed relevant postgraduate modules (Level 6 or 7)
* Willing to work towards a Master’s degree within the first year
* Mentoring/teaching experience
* Experience managing complex emotional situations
* Knowledge of current clinical advances in urology
* Evidence of continuous professional development
* Advanced communication skills (Level 2 course) or willingness to complete within the first year
* Experience managing staff
