Description ABOUT THE ROLE The Sport Assistant will be flexible and perform a variety of customer facing roles within the sport facility or service area and will assist in delivering a welcoming, safe and outstanding experience for customers. The Sport Assistant will have good knowledge of all Northumbria Sport products and service. This a part time vacancy for 14.8 hours per week. Further information is available in the job description. ABOUT THE TEAM Reporting directly to the Duty Manager the role will join Northumbria Sport, a core department within Campus Services. Northumbria Sport is responsible for delivering an excellent student experience through our range of sport, fitness and wellbeing programmes. The role will be based at Coach Lane Sports Ground but working at Sport Central may be required. Within the Northumbria Sport we deliver a range of services including as highlighted in the link provided. ABOUT YOU To be successful in this role, you will have: Good understanding of Customer Service Experience requirements Good knowledge of indoor and outdoor operation Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team Good verbal and written communication skills The initiative to solve problems of a practical nature Experience of working in a dry sports environment Further information is available in the person specification.
