AVSL Group Ltd is a leading UK distributor of audio-visual and technology products, supplying a wide range of brands and solutions to retailers, installers, and trade professionals. Our in-house marketing team supports multiple brands and product ranges through creative campaigns, digital marketing, exhibitions, and sales support materials.
We are looking for a highly organised and motivated Marketing Assistant to support the Marketing Manager in executing campaigns and managing a wide range of marketing projects. This role will suit someone with strong organisational skills, excellent attention to detail, and an enthusiasm for marketing campaign planning and execution.
The Role
The Marketing Assistant will play an important role in supporting the delivery of marketing campaigns, managing artwork briefs, and coordinating marketing materials across digital and offline channels. The role involves working closely with the Marketing Manager, internal design team, sales team, and purchasing department.
Key Responsibilities
Content Briefing
* Create clear and detailed artwork briefs for marketing campaigns and sales support materials
* Brief creative work including e-shots, web banners, social media content, videos, web articles, adverts and other marketing assets
* Work closely with the internal graphic design team to ensure briefs are accurate and delivered on time
Marketing Promotional Calendar
* Support the Marketing Manager in planning and executing the annual Marketing Promotional Calendar
* Assist with the creation and coordination of marketing campaigns across multiple channels
* Contribute ideas for campaigns that help drive sales, increase customer spend and convert prospects
Packaging
* Assist the Purchasing team with the planning and briefing of new product packaging design concepts, either stand alone or as part of a range rebrand. Work with Market Research Assistant to review packaging designs currently in the market, to bring AVSL Group brands inline
* Proof-read packaging copy to ensure accuracy and clarity
Reporting
* Manage KPI reporting for marketing activities including email campaigns, social media and customer sales performance
* Analyze results and present insights and recommendations to the Marketing Manager
Exhibition Support
* Manage the creation of promotional materials for trade shows and exhibitions including banners, POS signage, branded clothing and giveaways
* Support the sales team with exhibition logistics such as ordering sample stock, van hire and accommodation
* Coordinate promotional campaigns announcing exhibition attendance through email, social media and customer invitations
* Conduct post-event research with attendees and sales teams to evaluate success and create exhibition reports
* Manage relationships with influencers and product reviewers across the UK
* Source and build relationships with new influencers
* Coordinate sending product samples and ensure reviews are completed
* Promote review content across the companies social media channels
* Maintain and update sales support documents including product launch information, training guides, pricing updates and clearance items
* Support the sales team with relevant marketing materials they may require
* Over time, take responsibility for presenting marketing activity updates to the sales team on a fortnightly basis
Market Research
* Create and manage customer feedback and satisfaction surveys
* Monitor brand perception, customer service feedback and product suggestions
* Present insights to help inform marketing and product strategies
MailChimp Management
* Maintain and update contact information in MailChimp using data from the AVSL Group CRM system
* Monitor campaign performance including open rates, click rates and unsubscribes
* Make recommendations to improve email marketing performance
* Manage the creation of product and brand catalogues
* Brief artwork to the design team and proof-read catalogue copy
* Coordinate promotional activity when catalogues are released including web banners, digital flipbooks and email campaigns
* Arrange printed catalogue orders and distribution to the sales team
Skills & Experience
* Experience with marketing campaign planning and creation
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy, particularly when briefing artwork and proof-reading copy
* Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
* Confident, enthusiastic and proactive
* Self-motivated and able to work on your own initiative
* Able to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment
* Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications
* Experience using MailChimp or similar email marketing platforms
