ABOUT RHINO RANK
-----------------------------------
Rhino Rank is a Shrewsbury-based digital marketing agency with a passion for doing great work. We're a focused, ambitious team and we're growing — which means we need a creative talent to grow with us.
We're looking for an experienced Graphic Designer to join us in-house at our Shrewsbury office on a part-time basis, two days per week (with flexible choice of days). As our business continues to develop, there is genuine scope for hours to increase over time.
THE ROLE
-----------------------------------
This is a hands-on, in-house design position where your work will be seen and used every single day. You'll be the creative force behind our digital output — designing everything from website graphics and brand assets to paid ad creatives and email newsletters.
If you take pride in pixel-perfect work, understand what makes a paid ad stop the scroll, and love seeing your designs actually perform, we'd love to hear from you.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
-----------------------------------
* Website Graphics & Design — Create and maintain high-quality visual content for our website, including banners, hero images, landing page layouts, and promotional graphics.
* Digital Asset Production — Design and deliver web assets including logos, icons, UI buttons, image crops, and optimised imagery for desktop and mobile.
* Paid Advertising Creatives — Produce conversion-focused creative assets for paid campaigns across Facebook/Meta and Google (display, responsive, and social formats), ensuring artwork meets platform specs and brand guidelines.
* Email Newsletter Design — Design visually engaging, on-brand email templates and newsletters optimised for deliverability and click-through performance.
* Brand Consistency — Maintain a consistent, high-standard visual identity across all channels and outputs.
* Collaboration — Work closely with the wider marketing team to take briefs from concept through to final delivery.
* File Management — Keep design files, templates, and asset libraries well-organised and accessible.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
-----------------------------------
* 2–5 years of proven experience in a graphic design role, ideally in a digital or marketing-led environment (agency or in-house both welcomed).
* A strong portfolio demonstrating website graphics, digital ad creatives, and email design — a portfolio is required to apply.
* Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
* Experience creating paid advertising assets for Meta/Facebook and Google — you must understand ad specifications and performance-led design.
* Experience designing email newsletters using platforms such as Mailchimp, Klaviyo, or similar.
* Solid understanding of design for digital platforms, including file formats for web (PNG, SVG, WebP) and social media.
* Strong grasp of typography, colour theory, layout, and visual hierarchy.
* Meticulous attention to detail with a strong ability to self-review your work.
* Good time management — able to handle multiple briefs effectively across your two working days.
* Clear communicator — able to interpret a brief and present your creative thinking confidently.
DESIRABLE SKILLS (not essential)
-----------------------------------
* Experience with Figma or Adobe XD for web and UI asset design.
* Basic HTML/CSS knowledge and an understanding of how designs translate to web.
* Motion graphics or video editing experience (After Effects or Premiere Pro) for animated ad creatives.
* Familiarity with UX principles and conversion rate optimisation (CRO).
* Experience working within a CMS such as WordPress or Shopify.
THE RIGHT PERSON
-----------------------------------
You'll be a great fit if you are:
* Commercially aware — you understand that great design must also perform and convert.
* A self-starter who's comfortable working independently.
* Open to feedback and see the revision process as a natural part of great work.
* Passionate about design trends, digital marketing, and staying current with platform changes.
* Organised and dependable — your two days matter, and the team will be counting on you.
