Overview
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and Emergency Room Technician (ER Tech) works under direct supervision of a Registered Nurse. The CNA/ER Tech performs multi-skilled duties within the limits of training and certification in caring for the patient.
* Assists nursing team with a variety of patient care activities and related services necessary in caring for the personal needs, comfort, and safety of patients. Assists patients with personal hygiene, dressing, walking. Changes bed linens and assists with patient transportation to tests and procedures. May serve and collect food trays and provide patients with between-meal nourishment. May record temperature or vital signs under the direction of a nurse.

* Assist with hygiene, dressing, mobility, bedding, and transportation to tests and procedures.
* Assist with nourishment and meal services as needed; may record vital signs under nurse direction.
Qualifications
* Minimum Education: A high school diploma or GED required. At least one year of patient care experience in a health care facility or as CNA is required.
* Required Licensure, Certifications, and Registrations: Currently registered as a Certified Nurse Assistant in South Carolina, or have an Emergency Medical Tech Certification for South Carolina, and Basic Life Support (BLS) with the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
