Overview
We are seeking a compassionate, resilient, and experienced qualified SEND Teaching Assistant to join our specialist setting supporting children and young people aged 2-19 with profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD), complex needs, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and non-verbal communication.

Responsibilities
* Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with PMLD, ASD, and complex needs
* Assist with personal care routines including toileting, feeding, and hygiene
* Support non-verbal children using alternative communication methods (e.g., PECS, Makaton)
* Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and families to deliver individualised learning plans
* Promote a nurturing, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
Essential Requirements
* Experience working with children or young people in a SEND setting
* Personal care experience is essential
* Understanding of PMLD, ASD, and non-verbal communication strategies
* Ability to remain calm, empathetic, and flexible in a dynamic environment
* Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, Health & Social Care) desirable
