Overview
We are looking for several Specialist Stop Smoking Advisors to join our team in County Durham. Our Stop Smoking Programmes support local people who want to quit smoking by providing face‑to‑face and telephone support.
Typical day
* Deliver evidence‑based interventions focused on smoking cessation, behaviour change, and psychological support.
* Run stop smoking clinics face‑to‑face across primary care and community settings and over the phone, working one‑to‑one and in groups.
* Collaborate with partner organisations and colleagues to improve client uptake and meet targets.
* Ensure an excellent and safe experience for clients in line with policies and procedures.
* Engage in role‑relevant training such as NCSCT Stop Smoking training and Behaviour Change Level 1 and 2.
* Use information technology systems to manage day‑to‑day tasks and client databases.
* Work across Thrive Tribe services to contribute to new projects and service developments.
* Account for Information Governance and Clinical Governance legislations, requirements and guidance.
* Embed Thrive Tribe values and culture across services.

Desirable experience includes supporting clients to adopt healthy lifestyle choices; completion of NCSCT Stop Smoking Advisor training is a bonus. Training will be provided if required.

Contract and salary
Three full‑time permanent contracts (37.5 hours per week). Salary starts at £24,785, rising through annual increments to £25,500.
Location
Base is The Greenhouse, Annfield Plain, County Durham, DH9 7XN. Work includes face‑to‑face sessions across County Durham – a car owner is desired – plus office and remote work for telephone clinics.
