BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER / FIELD SALES FACILITIES MAINTENANCE
LOCATION: London Field Sales (3 days out on the road) Dartford office (2 days a week). You may be looking for Sales Business Development jobs in Dartford, London, Kent.
SALARY: £45K- £55K basic, depending on experience, plus uncapped bonus, benefits, training & pension.
HOURS: Permanent, full time. Monday- Friday, 9.00am- 5.00pm
As Business Development Manager, you will be a key member of the Business Development Sales team, enhancing the companys profile and promoting services to actively seek out new business opportunities whilst maintaining and developing ongoing profitable relationships with clients.
Day to day duties will include:
Pro-actively follow up on leads and track potential opportunities through to conversion.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records using internal CRM system.
Assist in development and upkeep of key account plans alongside helpdesk teams.
Take full ownership of pipeline, autonomously develop and convert leads into long-term partnerships.
Increase company visibility and lead the charge in securing new business through compelling bids, tenders, and proposals for large-scale, multi-year contracts.
Support the preparation and submission of PQQs (Pre-Qualification Questionnaires) and tender documents.
Collaborate with pre-construction teams to align business development efforts with project planning and delivery.
Contribute to the creation of marketing materials, case studies, and data sheets to support business growth and brand presence.
As an experienced Salesperson/ Account Manager, ideally with a proven track record in a similar business development role within Construction Maintenance/ Property Maintenance/ Facilities Maintenance/ Facilities Management services.
This is not a high-pressure, hard-closing sales role, Instead, it requires someone with a genuine passion for building relationships and identifying tailored solutions for clients. You should thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy gathering information to offer the best recommendations and guidance to commercial customers.
You will possess a confident telephone manner and be comfortable with public speaking and delivering presentations to prospective clients. Your ability to communicate clearly and professionally will be essential in building trust and rapport with stakeholders at all levels. With strong contract administration skills, you will be IT literate and proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Your current or previous roles may have included Business Development Assistant, BDM, Business Development Manager, Field Sales Executive, Business Development Salesperson, Sales Consultant, B2B Telesales Executive, FM Sales Manager, Field Sales Manager, Head of Business Development, Biz Dev Manager, Sales Account Manager, Field Sales Representative, Marketing Assistant, Marketing Manager or similar.
