Place, follow-up, and monitor orders on internal and external suppliers. Work with suppliers to obtain delivery dates, improve due dates, and minimise back orders, invoice queries, and customer complaints. Manage Inventory optimisation to balance overall stock value against holding the right stock at the right time, and minimise obsolescence and expired products. Key responsibilities • Place orders with suppliers • Expedite parts from suppliers and other alternative sources to fill backorders promptly • Ensure a robust supply of products to ensure back orders are kept to a minimum, whilst optimising inventory holding • Maintain an efficient and effective communication channel with suppliers to ensure they perform on overdue deliveries, on-time delivery, and customer complaints • Ensure a high level of inventory accuracy by liaising with the warehouse to ensure actioning of stock adjustments, stock transfers, customer returns, and supplier non-conformances. • Ensure invoice queries are resolved and, where applicable, credit notes are received promptly. • Understand Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) and execute the necessary adminstrative tasks to deliver on the requisite KPI’s • Cross functional interaction with Care Centres, Distribution Centre and Finance with the aim of having products avaliable for Customers or, alternatively, having the delivery information available to key stakeholders • Produce KPI report (e.g. back orders, slow moving stock) to make operational performance and trends visible • Participate in supply chain improvement projects • Maintain master data, ensuring a high level of integrity • Performance will be measured based on Supply chain efficiency, inventory value, backorders, and master data integrity Key requirements • Educated to O’Level / GCSE standard • Experience in a similar working environment • Work as part of a team • The ability to prioritize workload • The ability to take direction and work to deadlines • Excellent communication/ listening skills • Computer literate including all MS Office programs Education/ Qualifications • Educated to O’Level / GCSE standard • B.S or B.A degree in an applicable field is a plus, but not essential • Computer literacy skills including MS Office Working conditions • Core working hours – Mon – Fri 8-4 or 9-5 on a weekly rota, with flexibility to cover team holidays/ sickness as required. • Hybrid working – a Minimum of 2 days per week in the office, driven by business requirements, as Convatec has a flexible approach to office working. • To be available one weekend per annum (usually November) for the whole warehouse stocktake.
